Bocchin X Nacchan

     Dada~ I've finally finished with my new pair. Meet Bocchin [Boshi] and Nacchan [Natsuhiko] - the lounge mascots! yayay~

     I did make a few changes from the initial image I made of nacchan in this post. I just decided I want pink hair instead of blonde for Nacchan to make a sweeter image, and I made bocchin blonde not brown which is the original concept when I was working on it. This is also a sort of a Maki Murakami tribute when I decided on the colors. The pink and blonde hair combo is of Yuki Eiri's and Shuichi Shindou's. Murakami-sensei made my very first boy's love anime and I've fallen in love ever since.

     Finishing this I feel that I've improved a bit in drawing. I would say my wacom bamboo tablet helped me a lot. I can do so many stuff with it that I had trouble doing with a whack-worthy mouse. Its easier as well because I don't have to freaking change the opacity of the brushes every single time i need a lighter touch- I can control it simply via pressure. I'm really surprised that by using the tablet I was able to make this much improvement. Its like it was the key to the mystery that I've been trying to get for so long.

     Although I did try to cheat with this photo by just using a single layer for all the clothes which is seriously a bad idea. I just thought it'd be much easier that way but no. The place where the colors meets gets muddled up a bit. It was okay i guess since I have more control with the shading but Its hard to keep the colors separate. I'll make a note of this mistake in future stuff.

     So since I'm feeling perky I also made this wallpaper! yay! its a 1280 x 1024 format. I might need to make a few more sizes if I want to share this baby. Use it as your wallpaper if you please.
